HVAC Systems Design Engineer

Designed commercial and residential refrigerant heating/cooling systems while building client-facing HVAC design experience.

Overview

During my co-op internship with the engineering sales team at HTS Engineering, I worked directly with clients and developed practical experience in HVAC system design, project coordination, and fast-turnaround engineering support.

Work

I designed more than 60 commercial and residential refrigerant heating and cooling systems while balancing performance, cost, code compliance, and constructability.

I also performed heat loss and heat gain analysis to determine practical design-day loads and help ensure comfortable, reliable building conditions.

Process Improvements

To improve team visibility and coordination, I developed an Excel pipeline tracker for active projects. The tool helped maintain project reporting, team goals, and turnover between design requests.
